Pumpkin Farm 2013

Carrie and Andrew had a blast at the pumpkin farm this year. They went once with Gigi, G-Pops, and Bridgette (our nanny) and Carrie got to go again with school. Here are some pictures.

Halloween 2013

We had a wonderful Halloween this year in our new neighborhood! It was so fun to trick or treat with friends and neighbors. We got to celebrate afterwards at a party at one of our neighbor's house.

Halloween 2011

We had a great Halloween this year! I got the honor of taking out Carrie trick or treating around the neighborhood (the "boys" manned the fort).  We had lots of fun.  She dressed up as Angelina Ballerina.  Although sometimes she got confused and referred to herself as Minnie Mouse - close enough.  In the weeks leading up to the big night, we had several dress rehearsals around the neighborhood and house using my ipad to provide music so she could practice her dance moves.

I decided 10 minutes before departing the house to dress up. I couldn't find any costume handy, so I decided to make a costume based on an item I knew we had plenty of around the house...diapers.  I was a diaper caddy (and not a very good one at that). 

Andrew didn't dress up although he wore a festive goblin shirt that glows in the dark.  He is our own personal little goblin. He seems to also share the sleeping habits of a goblin much to our dismay.

Pumpkin Patch 2011

Carrie kicked off the Halloween season this year with a visit to the pumpkin patch with Gigi and G-Pops. Here are some photos from her trip.

More Halloween

This is the first year where Carrie I think understands that Halloween is a special time.  Tonight she is going to be a cow for Halloween and we are taking her around the neighborhood.  We will see how far we get!  Halloween is a bit of a challenge when your child can't eat peanut butter.  We will be swapping chocolate bars for Nemo fruit treats and dots.  I am sure Paul and I won't have any trouble eating the candy bars.
