NYC here we come!

On Friday, Paul and I took a much-anticipated trip to NYC for labor day weekend - without you-know-who. She stayed at the bread and breakfast of Gigi and GPops. We stayed at the Essex house right on Central Park South. Great hotel. Highly recommend it.
Saturday, we took a ferry to Ellis Island where we learned all about the immigration process that occurred there starting in 1892. I was very excited to see it personally because my recent genealogy research had uncovered one of Paul's relatives who came in through there. The museum was amazing - we could have spent hours there!
Here are some pictures of the few of NYC, the statue of liberty and the museum.

Saturday night, we went out to dinner at a restaurant called Savoy located in Soho. It was very good but a bit stuffy for our taste. Afterwards, we hit a neighborhood tavern that we had visited several years ago and were suprised to see the same bartender there.
